• Winter months require 4WD/AWD to navigate the driveway up to the cottage entrance.

Driving Directions:

• GPS sometimes misdirects guests to EAST Silver Lake Rd, but the cottage access is off (South end) of WEST Silver Lake Rd.


• Should you find you are having GPS difficulties, if you enter the address for St. Patrick Catholic Church (630 S West Silver Lake Rd, Traverse City, MI 49685),


• Van Petten Drive is located directly across the road from the church.


• At each "y" in the road on Van Petten, turn right (photo) and it will take you directly to the cottage, located on your own private beachfront peninsula.


• Look for the Slice of Heaven Logo Sign at base of driveway. (photo) It's the very last house, tucked away up the hill where the road ends.


• The cottage is up on top of a hill nt visible from the road.

Keyless Entry:

• The door codes will be emailed to you directly. Please check your email for a message from Office@AdventureNorthVacationRentals.com containing the door code for your stay. Check your spam folder if you've not received this email.

Use the remote for most operations on the TV. We have the TV set up to the Wi-Fi so all you need to do is log into your streaming apps of choice. Just remember to log out! YouTube TV is your source for access to TV channels.

Security Camera Information:

Your safety matters. There are security cameras of exterior areas monitored to ensure your safety. They do not look into any interior spaces. Please be advised that if during surveillance of the exterior areas' malicious activity or destructive behavior is observed the security company will contact the owners and they will contact you immediately. Please make sure that your guests are not perpetrators of any sort of destruction to the premises. We expect that our guests will treat our property as if it were their own. If we are made aware this is not the case, do not be surprised if you receive an immediate call from us.

NEIGHBORHOOD QUIET HOURS:

Slice of Heaven is located in a very private secluded beachfront neighborhood. It is serene and tranquil, truly a heaven on earth setting for your enjoyment! Please have fun but be conscientious guests and help maintain this quiet peaceful environment throughout your stay. We don't want to jeopardize the great neighborhood relationships we've built and appreciate your help by keeping noise to a minimum especially during the overnight hours from 10pm - 8am. Noise travels very easily across the lake, campfire conversations are easily heard miles away.

Parking Instructions:

3-4 vehicles can be parked in the driveway, please avoid parking in the private roadway. Slice of Heaven is located at the end of the road, there is no drive-by traffic and ample parking for all guests. Guests that prefer not traversing down steps, the base of the driveway provides easy access to park a vehicle adjacent to the beachfront area.

Coffee: Complimentary k-cups are provided for your first few brews the first morning!
We provide coffee filters, cream & sugar with a Keurig combo coffee pot+(k-cup) coffee maker in the main house kitchen for your use. You'll need to bring your own grinder/beans or ground coffee to make pots of coffee for your stay. There are a couple Thermos Pump Coffee dispensers to have multiple pots of coffee accessible for your guests. Please be sure to clean them out after each use, thanks!

Kitchen:
The kitchen is well stocked with plenty of dishes, cutlery, cooking/baking, storage & serving dishes, plastic ware, drinking, wine, cocktail glasses. Small electrical appliances, skillet, toaster, blender, mixer, crock pot, waffle maker are also in kitchen cupboards.

Spices (and salt & pepper) can be found in the cupboards. Paper products for kitchen and bathrooms are provided as well as trash bags. Other kitchen items like plastic wrap, tin foil and plastic storage bags, may be available for your use if left by previous guests, so add these to your checklist items to bring, in case they are needed.

Pillows, linens & blankets:
These are provided, each room will have towels laid out for each guest's use during the stay. Extra pillows and blankets can be found in the closets of each bedroom.

Spa Robes, Crocs &  Beach Towels:
These are provided for your use during the stay and should not be taken off the property. Plan to bring your own beach towels & equipment if you're planning a day trip away from the cottage.

Request a Pack-n-Play or High Chair:
Please inform us if you would like to reserve a Pack-n-Play and/or High Chair for your stay. We'll have them sanitized and ready for you upon arrival. If you'd like to rent additional baby equipment and beach gear, contact Bayshore Baby listed in the Services & Rentals section below.

Trash & Recycling:
Please bag all trash and make use of the bins in our parking lot.

• Double-check that the remote for AC/Heat Unit is returned to holster.


• Remove all perishable items


• Take out the trash


• Wash and put away all used dishes


• Leave beds unmade if used, no need to strip them


• Place all used towels in a pile, in bathroom shower


• Turn off all lights, electronics and appliances


• Close and lock all windows and doors


• Additional fees will be imposed if the home is found in an unsatisfactory condition, so please return it to the condition in which you found it
