GETTING TO CAYE CAULKER BY AIR:

There are two airline companies that provide service to the Island of Caye Caulker. They are “Tropic Airlines” and “Maya Airlines.” You need to go online and book in advance as they have limited seating. After you arrive at Belize City Int. Airport and you clear customs, you will exit the double doors and enter the ticketing section of the Airport. Check in at the airline of your choice and take a 10-minute flight to the Island.

Once you’ve arrived at the Caye Caulker Airline Terminal and have your bags you may walk or take an available taxi for $5 BZD per person to any Hotel, Guest House or Airbnb on the Island. Go back to the “Get to & around Caye Caulker” section and click “On Land” to learn about how to get around the island of Caye Caulker by Taxi or bicycle.

We recommend you advise your destination location of your planned arrival time and airline arrival information.

GETTING TO CAYE CAULKER BY WATER:

There are two water taxi/ferry services from Belize City to the Island of Caye Caulker. To get from Belize City International Airport to the Ferry Terminals in the City will take approximately 20-25 minutes based on traffic. Upon exit from the baggage area of the airport and clearing customs, you can meet pre-arranged taxi service or there will be taxi drivers available. Taxi’s fares are typically $30/2 people but can vary based on season and gas prices. Contact your Hotel/Airbnb for their taxi
driver recommendations.

Once you arrive at your Ferry Terminal, go directly to the Ferry Ticket station and buy/pick-up your one-way or round-trip ferry ticket. You do not need to buy ferry tickets in advance. Once you buy your Ferry Ticket you may check your luggage with the Ferry Company and retrieve it from them upon arrival on Caye Caulker. Your trip will take approximately 45 minutes.
