East Bay Township has a 10pm noise and firework ordinance that they fully enforce.

Trash & Recycling:
Please bring all trash and recycling to the two bins outside the kitchen side door. Trash pickup in on Tuesday mornings, so if you are there on a Monday night, please take the bins to the curb.

Coffee:
We provide k-cups and a keureg coffee maker, as well as sugar. BYO creamer.

Kitchen:
Cooking oils and spices (and salt & pepper) can be found in the cupboards, and kitchen is stocked with cooking/baking items.

Pillows & Blankets:
Extra pillows and blankets can be found in the closets of each bedroom.

Laundry:
The laundry is in the basement.

Before checking out we ask that you:


  • Please wash all used dishes

  • Strip all the beds (put the sheets at the foot of the beds)

  • Take trash/ recycling to bins

  • Start one load of towels. PLEASE do not overload the washer. It cannot handle more than 5 towels.

LOCAL'S TIPS FOR ENJOYING OUR AREA
You can walk to the State Park beach from the house. Just hang a left out of the dirt driveway and then turn right on the first street. Take it to Three Mile Road, and then hang a left towards the water, and cross at the light. Clinch Park beach is in town, and has a splash pad, kayak rentals, and a snack bar.

If you’re up for an adventure, head out to the Sleeping Bear Sand Dunes National Lakeshore. There is a visitor center in Empire. You can hike Empire Bluff or Pyramid Point for breathtaking views. Both hikes are fairly easy and we do them with our small children often. On the way to the Dunes, stop for picnic supplies at Fresh Coast Market on N. Long Lake Road. They have fantastic sandwiches and everything else you need for a day at the beach. We love the Empire public beach. Good Harbor Beach and Vans Beach in Leland are also great choices.
